Sophia had dreamed of being in a band since she was a little girl, growing up on a dairy farm in North Central Wisconsin.  Back then, she would sing and tell people that one day, she was going to be a lead singer for a band when she grew up.  Sophia wasn’t too far off.

She began learning the flute in middle school.  Sophia played for the school band and the church she went to.  In high school, she learned the piccolo also. 

After graduating high school, Sophia went to college in Oshkosh, WI.  There she would graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Services.  She stayed in Oshkosh for seven years studying the mystic arts and trying to find employment in the Human Services field.

From Oshkosh, she would move to Kenosha, WI.  Sophia only lived there for a short time, but began using her computer to record music.  Her first recording computer was an Apple Macintosh G4 400MHz, which eventually was stolen.  Damn thieves.

Since she was traveling to rehearse three times a week, Sophia decided to move to the “Windy City”.  In 2000, she moved all her things into a small apartment in Chicago.  Early the next year, she bought the KORG KARMA and began learning the keyboard.  Dominic asked her to join the band that year and has been here ever since.

Some of Sophia’s influences in music are: Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and other classical composers, Nightwish, Dimmu Borgir, Type O Negative, Gathering, Lacuna Coil, Alice in Chains, Cher, Pat Benetar, and Madonna.  Yes, she was an Eighties child.  When Sophia is not doing music, she likes to read, do some writing, video games, spend time with her cat, and listen to other people’s music.  Got to have some variety in life.
