Chris was born a miserable, hateful person. He hates everything in the world, especially music, but the thing he truly hates the most is himself.

He therefore decided to make the performance of music a major facet of his life, as there is nothing else that would make him that unhappy. After playing in numerous bands that never actually went anywhere, he joined Clad in Darkness as their bassist. Not ever being a fan of black metal, this was a perfect fit for him, as every note he played in that band brought him nothing but pain and suffering.

But Chris really hated himself, and after awhile the pain of being in one band was not causing enough sorrow to satisfy him. He was given the offer by Urn to be the bassist on a temporary basis, and given how insufferable he found Urn's music, he took them up on the offer. Somewhere along the way, Urn thought they could benefit by hiring Chris on as a guitarist. Given how much Chris hates playing guitar, he had to take them up on the offer, while remaining active in Clad in Darkness.

Chris now plays two instruments he hates in two different bands he despises. This makes him truly hate his life, but because he hates himself, this makes him happy.
